Babylon Berlin: Trailer for Season 3 brings new case for Kommissar Rath


     Babylon Berlin has become a real German success story. Now a new third season has been announced. She takes us on a journey back to the 1920s during the Great Depression. Commissar Rath has to return to a new death. Here you can find all the new details about the next season of Babylon Berlin.
    The first trailer for the third season of Babylon Berlin has it all. Gloomy singing, drugged faces and the wriggling feet of a man who has apparently hanged himself. After the grand finale in the second season Babylon Berlin is just as macabre. The most expensive German series takes us to Berlin in the year 1929. Special investigator Gereon Rath is called for his new case on a film set.
    The new season is based on Volker Kutscher's bestselling novel The Dumb Death. It's been ten months since the events of the second season. The world economic crisis hits full force on the troubled Germany. A fascist march and the change in the film industry are yet to come. In all the chaos commissar Rath has to pursue a new case. A famous actress was killed by a spotlight on the film set.
    While the first two seasons still included 8 episodes, the third season is the longest so far. In total, 12 new episodes await us on the new criminal case of Gereon Rath. The investigator is again embodied by the actor Volker Bruch. Next to him we also see some new faces in the third season. These include Liv Lisa Fries, Lars Eidinger, Thomas Thieme, Fritzi Haberlandt and Karl Markovics.
