Netflix caused a sensation with some films in 2019. Titles like Bird Box or Murder Mystery have been streamed millions of times and some films have even been broadcast in the cinema. What is the streaming service planning for 2020?
Netflix has now announced via Twitter that we have a year full of films ahead of us. Even though many of these films are already known, the company has now published a complete list of the planned in-house productions. Among them are a few smaller projects, but also films with star cast.
For science fiction lovers, the list starts with a bang. Staged by Gina Prince-Bythewood, The Old Guard tells a story in which a group of immortal mercenaries face an overwhelming enemy. Charlize Theron and Kiki Layne will star.
The film Mank should also be of interest to many customers of the streaming service. The remake of the black and white film Citizen Kane convinced not only by a prominent director (David Fincher), but also with well-known actors. Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried, Charles Dance and Lily Collins will be seen in Mank.
The successful love comedy To All The Boys I've Loved Before will also be continued by Netflix in 2020. In the second part, Lara Jean and Peter get into trouble when another ex-boyfriend of hers appears.

Netflix plans to be even more successful this year with its own productions than in 2019. However, it is not yet known exactly when the films will be released.
