While Netflix has already put the Witcher, a strong candidate for the Game Of Thrones successor, in the ring for the title of the most successful current fantasy series, Amazon Prime is still a bit behind with its Lord of the Rings series. Now even one of the leading roles in the Lord of the Rings series has been completely re-cast. However, this new star in the Lord of the Rings lineup should please all Game Of Thrones fans.
Netflix ‘The Witcher was able to convince the viewers despite the rather mediocre reviews that were published recently. A quick look at Rotten Tomatoes and various social media sites as well as the numerous YouTube cover versions of the Witcher earwig "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" make this clear. With this, Netflix and The Witcher set the fantasy series latte for Amazon Prime and the upcoming Lord of the Rings series properly.
Perhaps the latest line-up change in the Lord of the Rings series could at least be a little plus for some old Game Of Thrones fans. After Will Poulter, who is known from Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Maze Runner and Midsommar, had to get out of the Lord of the Rings series for scheduling reasons, a more than interesting replacement for the Amazon Prime series was found: Ned Stark ,
Of course, it was only his role name in Game Of Thrones. The real name of Will Poulter's successor is Robert Aramayo. He played the young Ned Stark in the flashbacks in Game Of Thrones. According to the deadline, he should take on one of the main roles in the Lord of the Rings series – so this time it will probably no longer only be seen in flashbacks.
Unfortunately, not much is yet known about his role in Lord of the Rings on Amazon Prime Video. Rumor has it that his character in Lord of the Rings bears the name Beldor, which savers of the designs by J.R.R. Tolkien shouldn't say anything because this name doesn't appear in the books.
But another one: Galadriel. Because as recently known, Galadriel – played in a younger version by Morfydd Clark – will also be part of the Lord of the Rings series. Younger because the series takes place long before the events of the Lord of the Rings films. When the series starts on Amazon Prime has unfortunately not yet been revealed. You should not expect this before 2021.
