Til Schweiger makes a film about Bastian Schweinsteiger

Football documentaries are currently popular. Both the film Kroos and the Amazon Prime documentary Inside: Borussia Dortmund celebrated successes last year and are now paving the way for more of these formats. A new film is to illuminate the life and career of Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is one of the most successful soccer players of all time. With the German national team, he not only won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but also won countless trophies with Bayern Munich. Among others, Champions League winner 2013 and eight times German champion. Such a service is now to be recognized with documentation from the streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
The documentary is being shot by none other than Til Schweiger. The actor and producer will be responsible with a company Barefoot Productions. Both Schweinsteiger and Schweiger were quoted at the press conference at which the project was announced. The two are looking forward to working with them because they know and appreciate each other privately. According to Schweinsteiger, he feels very comfortable that Schweiger is filming his career.
Even if the sport will be the focus of the documentary, insights into the private life of the world champion should be given that were not possible on such a scale. In addition to the Schweinsteiger family, there will also be other familiar faces. Thus moderators Gerhard Delling, Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummennige and Oliver Kahn also become part of the documentation. It is not yet known exactly when the new football documentary will start. According to Amazon, the project will be released on Amazon Prime Video in 2020.
