The story of Pelikanblut Trailer: Wiebke (45) lives with her adopted daughter Nikolina (9) on an idyllic horse farm. After many years of waiting, she now has the chance to adopt another girl, Raya (5), from Bulgaria. Nikolina is very happy about the long-awaited sibling. The first weeks together as a family run harmoniously and the new brothers and sisters get on very well. But soon Wiebke realizes that the – initially charming Raya – hides something. She is becoming more and more aggressive and poses an increasing danger to herself and others. Nikolina in particular suffers from her assaults, but Wiebke's relationships and friendships are also put to the test. Background: Under the direction of Katrin Gebbe ("Tore tanzt"), who also wrote the book, Nina Hoss plays a single mother who is ready to push the boundaries to save her adoptive daughter. In further roles: Murathan Muslu, Sophie Pfenningstorf, Justine Hirschfeld, Yana Marinova, Dimitar Banenkin, Sebastian Rudolph and the two child actors Katerina Lipovska and Adelia-Constance Giovanni Ocleppo.
