Beverly Hills Cop 4: Screenplay in the making

In 1994 the third part of the Beverly Hills Cop series was released. Now the sequel to Eddie Murphy is finally in the works. Netflix produces the film and has brought two star directors to the team. Now the two of them gave us an update on how things are going with Beverly Hills Cop 4.
A fourth part of Beverly Hills Cop has been coming for many years. The work on it has been a long time coming. Last year there was finally news that Netflix is serious. Hollywood star Eddie Murphy is said to actually return as investigator Axel Foley and solve crimes. Since then, however, there has been little information about the project.
Now the two directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have broken their silence. The duo has already worked on the extremely successful Bad Boys For Life and now want to bring another classic film series back to life. It seems to be progressing bit by bit, as you mentioned in a conversation with Digital Spy. Accordingly, there is already a script writer on the team working on the story: "We will see what the first version will look like. We are very excited and hope that we can work with another icon like Eddie Murphy. That would be Great."
In general, Eddie Murphy is currently getting on well with Netflix. The star starred in the comedy Dolemite Is My Name last year. It is not yet clear when exactly we can count on Beverly Hills Cop 4. Given the current corona pandemic, the start is likely to be a long way off. The sequel was originally planned for 2016 before the Paramount film studio had to hand in the project. It will show how quickly Netflix Beverly Hills Cop 4 will complete.
