Captain America series comes to Disney Plus in 2020

Marvel takes the plunge into the series world: With Falcon And The Winter Soldier, the superheroes will soon be moving into Disney Plus. The new series shows us the two Avengers together in the fight against evil. Now we also know that the series will be released later this year.
In The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) go hunting. You will appear to face a whole range of bad guys. A photo leak from the set even shows one of them: Ogun, an old warrior from the comics. In it, Ogun is a kind of father figure of Wolverine and could provide decent resistance in the new series. Disney has taken over the X-Men franchise since 20th Century Fox also became part of the mouse group. In the future, other mutants could also appear in the Marvel films and series.
The story of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will play after the events of Avengers: Endgame. How much time has passed after the fight with Thanos is not yet certain. At the heart of the story is Captain America's decision that Falcon take over from Cap. The US government should not be particularly happy with the turn. Instead, they would rather see John Walker (Wyatt Russell) in the role. The character is based on an anti-hero from the comics who often worked for the government. In addition to numerous villains, the two Avengers will also have to assert themselves against some representatives of their own country.
Malcolm Spellman will be the showrunner and screenwriter for The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. He has already worked on the video game The Sporanos: Road to Respect. Kari Skogloand will act as the director for the six episodes of the Disney Plus series. Skogland has worked for Family Law, Vikings and The Punisher. Derek Kolstad, a screenwriter for John Wick, will also be part of the team. The Falcon And The Winter Soldier should then appear in the fall. We show you a first teaser for the series, as well as for WandaVision and Loki, in our video player.
